Director Jon Temple worked as a computer engineer running a small computer maintenance business in Warwickshire for nearly 15 years.
In 2009, he got the call to work in Uganda on computer classrooms in the slums of Kampala.
Jon developed an extremely low cost and low power classroom. These classrooms provide young people with a reliable way to learn and develop computer skills. These skills can be used to enhance employment opportunities for young people. Who would otherwise have little hope of working their way out of poverty.
Now Jon is bringing these two passions together to form On Again Technology. A UK based computer maintenance company that is employing young people in Uganda to help with computer maintenance here in the UK.
Jimmy Ekisa is a graduate of the programme that Jon worked on and was employed as a trainer on the programme. He has more than ten years of experience working with computers in various capacities. He now brings this experience to On Again heading up the team in Uganda.
